Drastic partner, Produktif, wins two Green Solutions 2025 Awards
The video above details Produktif’s design and production process for its Passive House submission to the Ice Box Challenge Oslo, 2024.
Drastic is delighted to announce that project partner, Produktif, has received not one, but two Green Solutions 2025 Awards from Construction-21 International for their work on the design and submission of a winning Passive House construction to the Ice Box Challenge Oslo in the summer of 2024.
A prestigious awarding body
Organised with the support of the French Ministry for Ecological Transition, Ademe (the French Agency for Ecological Transition), and the Global ABC/the United Nations Environment Programme, the Green Solution 2025 Awards highlight exemplary solutions integrated into buildings, districts and infrastructures contributing to the fight against climate change.
Produktif earned major recognition at this year’s awards, winning both the National Award for Infrastructure and receiving a special mention award for the Sustainable Infrastructure Grand Prize.
International recognition
Further to their national awards, Produktif also advanced to the international round of the competition, joining 60 finalists showcased at COP30 in Belém, Brazil in November 2025. While not selected as the final winner, Produktif’s presence highlighted the international relevance of emerging Drastic project innovations and their potential to positively increase circularity and reduce carbon emissions across the built environment.
The Ice Box Challenge 2024
Produktif’s Ice Box Challenge entry demonstrated some of the key circular innovations that are helping to shape Drastic. Using their patented Design for Disassembly (DfAD™) technology and C-Joint system—both featured in Drastic’s Norwegian Demonstrator—they built a highly efficient Passive House mini-home from reclaimed wood supplied by fellow Norwegian partner, Omtre.
In a direct comparison with a standard-code house, the Passive House retained 150 kg of ice after 33 days of Norwegian summer heat, while the standard-code house’s ice melted completely after just 11 days. The result showcased the outstanding insulation performance and circular design potential of Drastic-aligned construction methods.
An award-winning Drastic-based solution
These achievements underscore how Produktif’s real-world testing and innovative design are advancing Drastic’s mission to accelerate circularity across Europe, and beyond.

Congratulations, Produktif!
